There are six steps that we follow from start to finish in our process. They have been outlined below for your reference during the recording of your project.
- Talent Selection. Browse the demos of available talent and determine which of our talent would most closely fit your requirements. Bear in mind that talent may be unavailable for a number of reasons, so it is advisable to select more than one possible talent.
- Script Preparation. Prepare your script using MS Word with standard margin settings (.5" top and bottom, 1" left and right, 0" gutter, .5" header and footer). Use the Courier font at 12 point size with line spacing set to one and a half. If you want separate audio files from the document, place each separate file name in bold type in front of the audio that it will contain. We allow up to 5 audio files per page with additional files available at a charge of $2 per file. Please ensure that your document is formatted to be conducive to a proper read (i.e. using paragraphs, bulletpoints, etc. . .), note any special instructions in italicized-bold type inside brackets. Special instructions can include proper pronunciation for complex words, any emotions or inflections that you desire, etc. Please include pronunciation for any acronyms. By default we pronounce all acronyms as individual letters, if you wish yours to be pronounced as a word you must specify this.
- Send Your Script. Select the "book talent" link either here or on the Voice Talent dropdown menu and send the script to our orders@narratorfiles.com address, indicating within the note your desired voice talent. Double check to make sure your script is attached before hitting send!
- Talent Confirmation. When we receive your script, we will confirm the talent's availability and review your script. As soon as that is complete, you will receive a note with confirmation of your talent along with a total page count.
- Booking The Session. A paypal invoice is then generated and sent to you via email. Upon payment of this invoice, your session will be booked and the recording will be completed.
- File Completion And Delivery. Once the recording has been completed and cleaned up, a note will be sent indicating how you can download your files. Files are usuallly available within 2 business days of your confirmation. Standard file formats are .mp3 and .wav, but we can provide almost any industry standard format you desire.
Our policy is 100% satisfaction. If the script is not read correctly, we will redo it without charge. Please bear in mind that interpretive reads (reads that do not have specific requirements for inflection) will be considered correct if they are correctly pronounced and read in a standard narrative style.
